See, last blog I said I didn't mind Fast coming back into the lineup over Buch bc I think he's better suited for a 4th line role. But u can't sit here any say he should be on the 3rd line over Buch. Could it be adjusted during the game? Sure. But this is what gets me going about Fast.
I have not seen one person mention, not one, that the Rangers are playing back to back nights and it is very likely that AV just doesn't want to play Buchnevich back to back nights when he doesn't have to, there are loads of healthy forwards now.

It's a valid supposition and one I can add to the blog. But no way to prove it unless Buch plays tomorrow and AV cites the back to back as a reason why that forward sits.
I don't think it's bc he doesn't want to play him in back to backs, I think he's been inconsistent. Buch will work his way into the top 6 in a year or 2 but right now he's not there. I don't get Fast on the 3rd line but I agree with keeping Glass in the lineup, think he's been pretty good and think a 4th line of Glass Lindberg Fast could be good.

Can the playoffs just start and non of these issues will matter, just win
My reasoning was that Glass had brought something lacking to the lineup - grit and effort - which likely afforded him a spot over the pair of more talented singers.-FROM BLOG...

No issue with Buch watching a few games from the press box. He has looked lost out there for long stretches, so let him sit for a couple. Glass brings more to the lineup right now than Buch does. When that shine wears off, then we'll talk.
Glad to see Fast back in. More dependable than Buch too. Kind of a toss up whether to sit Buch or Vesey, but Vesey definitely brings more to the bench than Buch right now.

Hard to believe the trade deadline was this late in the year at that time, I think that deal went down at 5 pm & both players switched lockerooms. Crazy scene.

they lost in overtime that night - jimbro83
Yes, I think they had over 60 shots that night & Bill Ranford stood on his head, that was the beginning of the demise of that season, Leetch got hurt & they lost like 11 out of 12 to end that yr, awful.
still remember watching it being like umm... why did they just change jerseys? and my dad had to explain it to me. first time i truly got trades - MeltingPlastic
Did he explain to you that sometimes, even though you were born in one jersey, you just happen to identify with another jersey?

It's easier to block people out during playoffs because I become serious TPC and just care about winning...I do stuff to Kreider in the back seat - TPC
